Which are our healing hormones?DOPAMINE Also known as the “feel-good” hormone, dopamine is a hormone and neurotransmitter that’s an important part of your brain’s reward system. Dopamine is associated with pleasurable sensations, along with learning, memory, motor system function, and more. SEROTONIN This hormone (and neurotransmitter) helps regulate your mood as well as your sleep, appetite, digestion, learning ability, and memory. OXYTOCIN Often called the “love hormone,” oxytocin is essential for childbirth, breastfeeding, and strong parent-child bonding. This hormone can also help promote trust, empathy, and bonding in relationships, and oxytocin levels generally increase with physical affection like kissing, cuddling, and sex. ENDORPHINS Endorphins are your body’s natural pain reliever, which your body produces in response to stress or discomfort. Endorphin levels also tend to increase when you engage in reward-producing activities, such as eating, working out, or having sex. Extract: Mental Healthline

What is the Vagus Nerve?Sometimes, people help us without even knowing we exist. They are those Souls that plant a seed, which grows into a huge old oak, without ever knowing how many people will enjoy the shade it offers. Such a person for me is Lucas Rockwood - founder of www.yogabody.com. Watch his beautifully simple video. Doesn't he just project the most calming energy?

What is neuroplasticity?Neuroplasticity, also known as neural plasticity, or brain plasticity, is the ability of neural networks in the brain to change through growth and reorganisation. It is when the brain is rewired to function in some way that differs from how it previously functioned. It is applied in Bodygrid Therapy to hardwire new thoughts and emotions that are aligned with healing.

Is it similar to Reiki?Bodygrid Therapy is an Energy Therapy. It has similar outcomes to Reiki, which is one of the oldest known energy therapies. Both offer a path to healing and relaxation. In fact, it was a session of Reiki, twenty-odd years ago, that ignited my passion for Energy Work. The ancient Masters intuitively sensed that there must be an energy force that we shared, with all living things in the Universe. This is known as Chi in the East. Today, modern science and neuroscience have confirmed that this is a scientific fact: The human body is an Electrical Energy System. A complex one at that too! By combining my experiences as a life coach, with extensive energy theory research and advances in neuroscience, I was able to birth the energy methodology known as Bodygrid Therapy (BGT).
